As expected ,England Batsmen rose to the occasion to avoid a defeat in the hands of NewZealand.
In all probability the Test Match is progressing towards an equal level without win of Defeat to
Either of them.
Overnight not out Batsmen Alistair Cook& NRDCompton continued on the 5 th day also efficiently & effectively facing
the New Zealand Bowlers.They faced 252& 310 balls respectively & scored 116&117ensuring an easy drwn Game.
Cook had 15 fours& Compton 12 fours to their credit frustrating the New Zealand bowlers in the Process.
However,Cook was caught by waiting B Boult in the 85th over of the innings.Later on ,Compton followed his Captain
Back to the Pavilion in The 104th Over.
Finn who had assumed the role of Nightwatchman at the fall of wicket of Compton continued next day also for a
Long time & is still at the crease with a glorious 53 runs.His partner Trot made a handy52 before his exit at 52.
Thus towards the approaching TeaEngland has a formidable score of 377 for just 4 wickets.
Since the match is heading for an eventual draw,let me take leave of you saying the next Test(2nd in the series)
