There is a saying of the subject sort in Malayalam..Exactly this is what SL did today.Until Final ,after a set back early in the CB Series,they generally did well to reach the final.where as India was deprived off their deserving berth in Final.
The lions, it looks,can only roar but can not kill when it matters most
As an insult to injury ,their capotain generally a good pplayer miserably flopped in the final&also fines half of his match fee for misbehaviour with umpire.Indian Skipper Dhoni too had argued with Umpire on genuine causeBut wasnt fined..As far as failure is concerned, all their stewarts like Dilshan ,Sangakkara all flopped as if they could never win a major final.The rare exception was when Aravind Desilva&Ranatunga won their only final of a WCagainst the same lucky OZ.
On the contrary the Australians despite all their mal practices with Bat &Ball when in Australia,always win .The luck always smile on them especially when it is played in Australia.
But here,unlike Perth,Adelide is a good batman's pitch where any Team could win.But the ASrilankans looks destined to be defeated as if defeat follows them lika a curse.
To be frank,though rather one who believes in sportsman spirit should not say so,the Aussies did not deserve this win for the sins they committed delibrately against the Indians in their penultimate league match against Honest Indians
But sometimes ,though rarely,the injustice too prevail.And this is one of such an occasions!
Hearty condolence for the Srilankans& best wishes for them against their neighbours as well as traditional rivals INDIA &PAKISTAN at Dhaka in tha ASIA CUPstarting from 11th of this month

The Great DEBACLE FOR THE AUSTRALIANS
The Aussies Should learn a lesson from this horrible defeat today for a former World Champions continuous ly for 3 WCs.
They may be defeated in the final Final also as the roaring Lions are next to impossible to tame.They deserve the
Defeat for the sins they committed against the Indians in their last but one league match where two decisions were
absolutely wrong.Had it been under the Captaincy of Adam Gilchrist,Allan Border or Steve Waugh such a sin would not
have emerged as the Trio are well known for their Sportsman spirit. especiallyAdam Gilchrist
Dhoni the skipper had clearly told in the media as well as to the umpires about the wrong decisions.But whatever he told
fell in Deaf ears.

RIVER LINK-A DAY DREAM
It seems that the Liver Link for which the Apex Court has Given a ruling ,controversial & unlike all earlier wise Judiciary decisions,the real factor that prevails is that the matter looks like a Day dream for many states
Including the Tamil Naadu in fulfilling their evil design to punish the neighboring state of KERALA
BY WAY OF THEIR OVERSMARTNESSAS IN THE CASE OF MULLAPERIYAR.
BUT THE FACTOR THAT NEED SYMPATHY TO THEIR DESIGN IS THAT NEITHER THEIR DREAM ON
MULLAPERIYAR NOR ON RIVER-LINKING IS GOING TO MATERILISE DUE TO THE FOLLOWING REASONS.
THIS PROPOSAL TO INTRODUCE THE RIVER- LINKING WAS ATTEMPTED BY THE NDA GOVERNMENT OF SOME TIME IN THE
PAST& DROPPED AS SUCH LIKING WAS LIKELY TO COST TO THE EXCHEQUER AN ENORMOUS SUM OF 5 LAKHS CRORES OF RUPEES
EVEN IF ALL THE STATES OF INDIA TOGETHER TRY THIS LINKING IS UNLIKELY TO MATERIALISE& ON THE CONTRARY LIKELY
TO END UP IN WASTE OF TIME OF EVERYONE INDULGED IN TRYING FOR IT.
THE DESIGN LLOKS NOT ONLY EVIL BUT FOOLISH TOO AS BOTH THE RIVERS THEY WISH TO GET UNDER THEIR CONTROL
ARE THE EXCLUSIVE PROPERTIES OF KERALA STATE ,THEY BEGIN IN KERALA TO FLOW& END IN KERALA.
APART FROM THIS THE ENORMOUS COST INVOLVED IN LINKING IS BEYOND THE CAPABILITY OF THE TN&EVEN IF THEY MANA
MANAGE TO ACHIEVE THE ENORMOUS COST,IN ONE STAGE OR OTHER THEY WILL HAVE TO ABANDON THEIR DESIGN& FOR
DOING THE DE-LINKING OF THE RIVERS THE COST INVOLVED WOULD BE DOUBLE THAT OF THE COST INCURRED IN
LINKING.
SO THE BEST OPTION LOOKS IS THAT IT WOULD BE DESIRABLE TO KEEP THEIR HANDS AWAY FROM KERALA,
A STATE WHICH HAS ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF EDUCATION& CAPABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING THINGS BETTER THAN TN
AND IN IMPLEMENTING THEIR WISE DECISIONS PROPERLY TO THE PERCEPTIVE OF THE MATTER.
A FUTILE EFFORT IS BETTER TO AVOID THAN TRYING TO EXECUTE.

The cricket&its mysteries
Those who had opportunity to watch the first final between Aus&SL would wonder what is happening in
CB Series being held Down under.In the league match ,the last one of the 8 matches between India&Australia were marred by controversies of Declaring David Hussey not out despite his stopping the ball with his hand.The ball was not coming from opposite direction for him to stop it from hitting it.He was all along turning back &watching the movement of the ball to ensure he reaches the opposite crease before the ball reaches,And the argument that a ball coming from a side would hit a running man is absurd as the probability of such an occurance is just 1%.
Similarly Brett Lee purposed blocked the running path of Sachin to give sufficient time for Warner to shatter the stumps.Sachin who had to take a round about way to reach crease could not do so because there was no sufficient time to do that sice he was prevented from doing so by Brett Lee.
Dhoni rightly pointed out thuis to the Umpire as well as through media but whatever he said fell in deaf years,
Though India was deprived of their chances of reaching Final.,in the next match Sachin,Gambhir,Raina &above all VIRAT KOHLI with an unbeaten 133 (NO) overhauled the mammoth score of SL 320 in 50 overs.He took just 36.4 overs to do make 321/33.4 overs there by earned a valuable Bonus point for his Motherland.
In the next match everything depended upon the resut of the match between Australia&SriLanla.Aussuies had already qualified for Final even before the commence ment of their match against SL
So India's fate was hanging in a balance.Unless SL lost to Australia there was no chance for India to advance to the final.
SL was able to score just 238 in 50 overs .The target of 239 was just a child's play for the mighty Australians.But ultimately they lost to SL by 10 runs because the last man at the crease the same David Hussey had to score 11 from 6 balls.
He failed to do this &was caught in the second ball which he was hitting aimlessly to up in the sky.
But to day Australia score 321 without any shortcomings .thye openers made 180 without a wicket.The same openers &yet another good batsman lost their wicket for just 38 runs.in just 7 overs.
Al these (What mentioned above )put together &read between lines one could easily find that the Australians were purposely trying to avoid the Indians making it to the Final.
Today they just escaped from The Srilankas by sheer luck.
IUt could have been real poetic justice had they lost the match today.
In the circumstances,Cricket is no more looking like a Glorious Game.
In this context the Asian Cup starting on 11th March at DHAKA(BDesh)
assumes much significance,
There appears to have sufficient grounds for real fire works in the Asian Cup involving SL.INDIA&PAKISTAN.
A new RAMAYAN between BHARAT&LANKANS and a Ferocious fight between Traditional Rivals Pakistan&India& yet another encounter between SL&PAK after their last experience in Pakistan when they even faced threat to life, are likely to make the Tournament a unforgetable event
All are invited to glue themselves to their TV sets to watch the "Real Pooram of Cricket" frpm 11th march onwards.

TVM-A "Paithrakam"Station of Indian Railways

The TVM Central Station as it is on todat looks already like a "PAITHRAKAM" Station of Indian Railways without any of the facilities available in all important stations spread over INDIA.
One who waits for a train or to receive someone arriving by a train wont be able to view displays of details of Trains the timings and other info relating to it.It is called THAMPANUR Station &is the same as it was many years back.Even the behaviour of the people in the shops in the Platform remains the same without any change.And if one takes a look around ,he/she would find that TVM is a typical station with the tradition of so called"Paithrakam"
In case you are waiting for the arrival of a Heart Patient to be admitted to the famous Shri Chitra Institute of Seience&Technology situated in TVM working under the Ministry of scientific Research of the Central Government& you need a wheel Chair to transport the Patient to the outside of Platform number 1, sorry you would be disappointed.There is no any such arrangement made by Railways to kook into the need of a Heart Patient in the TVM Station.
So,if this is not "Paithrakam"then what else one could call Paithrakam?
Any how, Railways feeling about upgrading the station &if the present "Paithrakam" is meant for upgrading,the suggestion would be welcomed by the General Public who make use of trains for travelling.
