The Tree climbing Frog

So let us discuss a rare frog found Again in the Western Ghats,the treasure for rare species of Flowers, birds,& Amphebians. A rare frog was found in the Ghats .They can climb on trees.but why do they climb on trees?They climb on trees for mainly 3 purposes1) to fetch Food2)To stay away from Predators& 3) to lay eggs. These frogs are rare specimen of frogs. Two of it's kind Genera of frogs capable of climbing trees were found in the Western Ghats of Kerala area recently They were discovered by a Team of Researchers Headed by Anil Zachariah& Robin Kurian Abraham During their recent Exploration of Western Ghats. This discovery has since been published in the latest issue of International TaxonomicalJournal called " Zootaxa". This was possible as a result of Joint efforts from BR.Ansil&ArunZachariah,of The Wild LifedDiseaseLaborotory in Wynad of Keralawith combined effort from Robert Alexander Pyron an Assistant Professor from Department of BiologicalSciences of the George Washington University of USA. This discovery once again proved that the Western Ghats in India ia a TreasureTrove of many Amphibians Western Ghats is also well known for Biodiversity Hot spot & UnescoWorld Heritage Site. The Tree frogs now discovered belong to the groups "Beddomixuals"& "mercurana" named after two prominent personalities who worked in India There are in total 7 Tree frogs discovered until now in the region. So,kids sorry you can not see these frogs in your surroundings.
