Dr,Sarvepilli Radhakrishnan-Agreat Teacher,Statesman&Philosopher born on 5th September 1888


The September 5th every year is being remembered &Celebrated as Teachers Day in India.The greatest significance of the Day is that it was the Birth day of the Greatest Teacher of India Dr.Sarveppilli Radhakrishnan. Dr.S.Radhakrishnan was not only the greatest Teacher but the greatest Statesman,Philosopher,the First Vive President, and the Second President of India.The President who made his residence a Teacher's Bungalow introduciing many rooms as different Libraries. Apresident&a strong Statesman who moulded the Character of India. A President who played greater part in making India recognized all over the World. Dr.S.Radhakrishnan maintained the view that "A Good Teacher should know how to arouse the interest of the pupil in the field of Study for which he is responsible.He must himself be a Master in field of study and be in touch in the latest developments in the subject.He must himself be a fellotraveler in the exciting pursuit of Knowledge".Dr.S.Radhakrishnan himself a Master in the field had begun his carrier as a Teacher&became a symbol to follow for the Teaching Generation. Born on 5th September,1888 in a poor Brahmin family at Thiruthani,40 miles to the North East of Madras(presently known as Chennai).He was highly intelligent&Brilliant and went most of his education on Scholarships.After his initial schooling at Thiruthani.After this primary education Dr.Radhakrishnan joined the Lutheran Mission School at THIRUPATI. "Thiruparam Kundrathil nee sirithal Muruka Thiruthani Malai meli Ethir Olikkum" So goes the greatness about the great place Thiruthani where the Greatest Teacher was born.   1. Thank you for the blog. A good teacher paves the way for a beautiful future by trying to shape the destiny of the society through his disciples. But a majority of us are poor apologies of a teacher. When we look back to what our predecessors lived like and what all they did ,we feel like having a blood let from our heart of conscience.Every year, on September fifth, when former students either call me or send greetings to me, though I rejoice in learning that they remember me still, I feel embarrassed in knowing that they do so in the name of a day dedicated to one of the finest teachers who is the central figure in your blog.
