An equal match in nature with the India vs UAE in yesterday’s AFC Asian cup in UAE!
What I mean is a match India should have won but lost. Here the circumstances were different but the result similar.
The first match of the three match series began in Sydney Cricket ground. This morning play began disastrously for Australia with early fall of CaptAaron's first wicket b.B.Kumar for 6 runs.
Soon after after playing for a
Short while in the company of opener ATKhawaja Carey also returned to pavilion .c.Sharma.b.Kuldeep yadav for just 24 runs.
The scorecard read 41/2 .
SE Marsh joined Khawaja in the middle.
Khawaja &sE Marsh together made a big recovery taking the score to 133 when Khawaja was bowled by Jadeja 54 runs. It was a precious contribution .Score 133/3.
Then the batsman of the day PSPHandscomb joined Marsh. They together took the score to 186c4{when Marsh also returned to pavilion c Mohemed Shame.b.Kuldeep Yadav.
MP Stoinis joined Handscomb .Together they reached a reasonable score of 254/5.Handscomb the leading batsman of the day was the specialist batsman to get out after scoring gem of a personal score of the match73.
Then the pair of Glen Maxwell and Stoinis together saw to the end of 50 overs with a challenging target of 289.
The individual score of Stoinis and Glen Maxwell remained 47 &11(not out)
After the break Indian openers arrived at the Sydney Ground with a terrible job of scoring 289 from 50 0vers.For a team of India'scalibre relating to batting it was challenging but was not an impossible task.
But Alas?!The opener Shikar Dhavan, on whom Iia who were was banking up on for buidldding a big score had a big shock. Dhavan sadly walked back to the Pavilion trapped in front with the very first ball bowled by Behrrndorff the debutant bowler of Australia.A terrific day for him to celebrate his entry into one day cricket.
The agony of India did not stop there.
Captain Virat Kohli and Ambatti Rayudu joined Shawna back in the pavilion making Indian score 3/4 staring at them threateningly. This is how cricket proved itself a glorious game of uncertainty!Former most successful captain of India MS Dhoni joined RohitSharma in the innings as a formality. But no .It was different
Thereafter what the spectators at the Sydney ground and in front of Television sets all over the world watched something unbelievable and, perhaps, never seen before in the near past. They together built a partnership of 137 runs when Dhoni, brought back his old habit of playing cricket in similar crucial situations. The individual score of Dhoni was a hard earned 51 runs which contained a six & 3 fours. At that juncture India had just
17.4 overs left to play for the day.Although there was slight ray of hope to win ,it was just a hope come up at a very late stageto to turn it into a reality.!
Dinesh Karthik and Bhubaneswar Kumar gave support to the tired hero RGSharma who made 133Glorious runs with 6 sixes and 10fours.That too from just 129 balls bowled to him.Along with his getting out at 133 runs the hopes of India faded away.
The final score of 254/9 still remained as a reminder for India that if they tried hard any total in front of them was achievable.
A true and useful reminder for them to keep in mind for the forthcoming word cup at England.
MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma deserved every praise for their courageous attempt to win.Perhaps, both of them have confirmed their presence in the team for World cup.
Australia needs heartiest congratulations for their performance after an unbearable loss in Test cricket to India.Their debutant bowler
Behrendorff deserves congratulations for two precious Indian wickets.
There are 2 more matches in the series of 3 matches to be played at Adelaide at 8-50IST on 15th Janury and Melbourne 18th at 7-50(IST)
If played cautiously and with total dedication & willingness to win nothing is impossible with the present calibre of Indian Team.

Yes, Indeed. It was a match India should have won but lost. A bit of recklessness and overconfidence, when opposition is quite strong, can be fatal. Yet the efforts to recover from disaster were commendable
