RENASCENCE IN KERALA

The Renascence in Kerala did not begin yesterday.it began long ago ,perhaps, from 16th century. Malayalam language and literature came into real effect from the days of Thunjathezhuthachan. Ezhuthachan is considered as the originator of Malayalam language. He is the poet who translated the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata to malayalam language which gave the existence of Malayalam in this world.Thunjathezhuthachan is the poet who gave inspiration to change from the procedure in the monopoly of Brahminsespecially Namboodiri community. The present day Renascence or Renaissance is the result of the efforts from many learned people like the following: Men:ThycaudAyya,ArtsVaikundar,Brahmananda Swami Shivayogi,Chattambi Swamikal, shriNarayana Guru,Dr Palpu,AyyattenGopalan,BarristerGPPillai,Ayyankali,C.Krishnan, Kumaranaasaan,VaikkamMoulavi,Mannath Padmanabhan,SwamiVagbhatananda,Pandit Karuppan,T.K.Mahadevan,K.P.KesavaMenon,K.Kelappan,V.T.Bhattathiripad,AK.Gopalan,P Krishnapillai,Kutikkose Ellan Chavra,MampuramThangal,SahodaranAyyappan,Pampadi John Joseph, Makthi Thangal,C.V.Kunjuraman,Velukutty Arayan,Kuroor Neelakandhan Namboodirippadu,T.R.Krishna Swami Iyer,&Swami Anantha Theerthan. Women:A.V.Kuttimalu Amma,Ammu Swaminathan,Accamma Cheriyan,Anna Chandy,LalithambikavAntharjanam,Parvathi Nenmeni mangalam,AryaPallam,Thottekkattu Madhavi Amma,K.Devayani, Lalitha Prabhu,& Mary Lucose. All the above ladies and gentlemen respected by Keralitrs as their saviours in relation to their right to maintain equality in life and society taught us many lessons in regard to Renascence After having achieved everything in this regard we all of a sudden this topic has come up as a major issue for Government is a mystery especially when many tasks are pending to give relief to people who had suffered from the devastating floods in Kerala in August 2018.Evenvtofayvmany people are staying in relief camps awaiting amicable solutions for their sufferings. In such circumstances why the Sabari mala Shrine in regard to the entry of women of all ages as per Supreme Court decision has arisen iscaoeo a mystery Supreme did not mention any specific date or urgent need for facilitating the entry of women to the shrine. Besides,in 1991,the High court of Kerala had in a verdict suggested that the customs and rules relating to the Shrine should be strictly followed giving stress to the belief of the devotees in regard to "41 days Vrutha observed by the devotees". This verdict of High court of Kerala relating to a case of one mr Mahindran in 1991 This fact was ,however ,not brought to the notice of Supreme coourt while an Affidavit was filed by the Government In the supreme court. As a result of this th latest verdict by the Apex court was delivered in favour of the women entry to the Shrine irrespective of age group. This verdict obviously in relation to the fundamental right of equality for men and women. So there is no dispute whatsoever in this regard. But for the sake of ensuring the entry as per the Supreme court verdict available to women without any question, why the Renascence has come up needing such a big women wall to secure a trivial matter involving heavy amount of money was arranged in an era when the Renascence has no significance at all. In the name of Renascence ,the Government and people were put to inconvenience to the extent that more needy requirement of establishment of facilities to look after people suffered from the impact of devastating floods were ignored This, not only resulted in lack of help to victims of flood but indirectly resulted in a war between the Government and the believers of the traditional customs followed in the Shrine. In effect riot like situation was created in the state resulting in quarrels and hartals putting common people into sufferings for reasons not not arising out of their fault in any case. The expenses incurred by the Government from public money or from any other fund would remain as infructous needing regularisation by government .For this the total cost in terms of money will have to be worked out. The entire exercise from Government will have to be considered as unwarranted and regularised as such. if showing the power of women in Kerala there are many other methods than a wall which implies defensive tactics.in a state where there are many cases of atrocity on women unabated ,how can one assume a wall for defence except as a symbolic concept. For ensuring the power of women steps should be taken to provide proper education, employment, and equality in status in income withb men and such matters relating to their advancement is the first foremost step G overnment should have thought of instead of bringingb them out in the street. Digital India-Origin and Development

The computer Age in India began in 1955 with the installation o HEC-2M{a computer designed by A.D,Booth in England}at the Indian Statistical Institute of (ISI) Calcutta(now Kolkatta). At the same year a team headed by R.Narasimhan started designing and fabricating a computer at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research(TIFR)at Bombay(now Mumbai)2000 KM away on the West Coast of India. In 1955 only a few Dozens of Scientists and Engineers in India knew about Computers. The journey of Exploitation in the use of Computers continued unabated in India to the extent that an astonishing grouth between 1955 and 2010 were over 2.4 million people got employed in Conputer related Jobs and over 60 millions of Personal computers were in use in India. Information Technology which depended on Computers alone contributed 6.4 percent of the GDP of India and IT services became the fastest growing segment among Export Industries and grew by 22.7 percent in 2010with aggregate export Revenue of USD 50 Billion and Domestic Revenue of USD 17 Billion.Undoubtedly it has been an exciting jhourney from1955 to 2010 though not smooth and Steady. In 60s and 70s there was a lot of trapidation about use of Computers and their impact on employment. Even questions were asked whether computers are relevant for an overpopulated poverty sticken country like India. In the meantime the the development of Indian Institute Of Technology started the design and production of Computers. The Bhabha Committee approved by Government of India in 1963realised the importance of Electronics and Computers in natural Development and suggested establishment of the Department of Electronics(D of E)in the Government of India to promote rapid grouth of Electronics and Computers. The Department was established in 1970 and this was the first break point in the exploration of Electronics and Computers. In 1971 to 1978 the Dept of Electronics(D of E) laid stress for self reliant indegenous development of Computers. and a company called the Electronic Corporation of India(ECIL) was financed to design, develop and market computer using/required primary components were made in India..ECIL also made computers called TDC312 and 316 which were similar to the PDP service computers of made by XDigital Equipment Corporation of USA.The D of E also initiated many Research and Development (R & D) projects with assistance from United Nations Development Programmes(UNDP) The second Break point in 1978 after the Government led by Congress Party was defeated in 1977.The IBM company which were in India for for refurbishing Obsolete 1401 Computers were asked by Government of India to reduce equity to become an Indian Partner to manufacture IBM 360 computers in India. However,IBM refused this offer and closed their operation in India in 1978 The new Government came into power decided to open up computer manufacturing to the private sector and a number of companies started making mini computers using imported Micro processors.UNIX was the operating system of choice. In 1984 and 1986Government removed numerous controls on Industry and on imports when Rajiv Gandhi became Prime Minister. The new Policy allowed the import of fully assembled Mother boards with Processors and also reduced import duties. This led to a sharp reduction of price and speedier spread of Computer use.In 1986 Soft ware companies were allowed to import computers at at reduced import dutiy rates to enablr them to expoert export soft ware. Thus software development was recognized as an industry deserving many tax concessions. The year 1986 also saw the change in the mindset of the general population and the Politicians about the relevance of computers due to success of the computerised ticket reservation system of the Indian Railways. The new reservation system reduced the waiting time in Queues of customers wanting to reserve seats on trains. It also reduced some malpractises and led to an increase in the number of reservation clerks as a large number of counters were opened each one requiring a clerk. The third break point came in 1991 when India was about to default on the payment of Foreign debt. The country was bailed out by the Internationanal Monetary Fund(IMF)which forced India to open her economy and reduce controls on the local manufacturing companies.Soft ware and Software Companies (NASSCOM) which successfully lobbied with the bureaucrats and the Politicians and obtained many tax and other concessions. One of the major initiatives taken by D of E at this time was the establishment of Software Technology Parks.(STPs)with satellite communication links which enabled Indian software companies to develop software appications on their clients of international origin computers in India.Indian software Companies also took advantage of Y2K and Euro conversion opportunities to modify and improve a large number of legacy computer systems. This also became quality conscious and obtained the quality certificates from issued by the International standard Organisations(ISO)and the Capability Maturity Model(CMM) certificate issued by the softwae Engineering Institute.(SEI) of the Carnegie Mellon Universuity.USA.The emphasis of Government Policies shifted to promote software services companies as their export grew. the 4th break point came in 1998 when the new Government under Atal Bihari Vajpayi declared"IT as India's tomorrow" and took a number of proactive measures to promote Soft ware Companies. An IT Task Force was appointed to recommend changes in the Policies of the GovernmentMeasures were taken to give a Tax Holiday on the export earning of the Indian Softwarec service Companies for Ten years and import duties were excempted on Computers and soft ware packages imported for exporting software.Multinational Companies were welcomed to set up software development and research and Development centres.services exports grew rapidly from US Dollars 2 Billion in 1998 to USD 50 Billion in 2010.Information Technology was contributing 6.4 percent of GDP in 2010 and was providing employment to 2.4 million Software Professionals. It is concluded that the initiatives taken by the Government in late 70s to promote education in IT,setting up of R and D Centres and funding a large number of research projects with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) provided the Human Resources which enabled the IT Industry to grow. The initiatives taken by the Software Companies to put in place Systematic Process for Software development ,achieving quality certification and gaining expertise in project management enabled them to face international Competition and obtain application soft ware developments and services contract from the west.Even though the initiative taken by the Government of India in the 70s to establish a self reliant hardware industry in the Public Sector was not successful,it provided the confidence and Human resources which catalyzed the grouth of the private Hardware and Software in 80s and the 90s. Later on India had adopted a mixed economy .A number of Public sector companies control Oil &Natural Gas ,defence production, and heavy Industries.Currently there is a Private Sector.Information Technology ,Automobile Production,Pharmaceuticals, communications, and retail trade are dominated by the private sector.Privatisation of major industries began in the early 90s.Economic grouth rate was slow(around 3.8 percentof GDP for the first 30 years after Independence in 1947 and has been above 7 percent since 2002 Its current GDP (based on purchase power parity was USD 4 Trillion. The fifth highest in the world. but the GDP percapita is only USD3500.The country faces the longtime challenges Inadequate Physical and Social infrastructure widespread poverty ,wide disparity in quality of Education offered, limited rural employment opportunities and wastage in Government spending. Communication facilities in India have improved rapidly since the mid80s. Currentl(2010) India has only over 40 million land lines and 850 millionmobile phonesDuring 2010-11 mobile phone subscriptions increased at the rate of 15 million per month.India builds its own satellites and launches them.In the year 2011 there were 11INSAT communications satellites in service and over 110,000VSATS( very small ApertureTranscivers) have been installed.Unlike the deep penetration of Mobile phones, that of internet is limited.Althoughh the number of internet users was estimasted to be around 1-00 million (the third largest in the world) the reach is only about8.4 percent of the population in India in the end of 2011.The number of PCs were estimated to be around 60 million with the grouth rate of 15 percent per year. The number of fixed lines broad band connection is estimated at 6 millions. Another interesting fact about India is distribution of population.it was estimated in that over 60 percent of the population is in the age of 15 to 59 in the becginning 2012. By 2020 India will have the largnest working age population in the world.A big challenge will be to find gainful employmentfor this vast population.Even though Hindi spoken by over 40 percent of the population ,the official language which was introduced by British continues to be the language used by Government and Judiaciary. The medium of Instruction in Science and Engineering courses in colleges is also English. The exact number of people in India who use English is difficult to arrive at but is estimated that the persons with working knowledge of English is 125 million(the second largest in the world after the USA) The total circulation of English daily news papers in the world is 13 million copies as at 2012. The large number of English speaking persons in the age group 20 to 50(estimated to be over 50 millions)had led to a number of services from western countries to be outsourced to ndia. The number of students attending colleges has grown rapidly since independence.Currently as at 2012 India graduates around 1.3 millions Engineers perb year with 32 percent in computer Engineering and IT from about 3000 colleges in 2012.The quality of graduating students is however not uniformly good.Whereas the graduating from ITs and NITs (around 10,000) are excellent .However the graduates of such engineering also needed training in Industries according to the Industry Employers. This situation however is capble of improvement during the course of years to come from 2012. As said before India is one of the best Democracies in the world.A democrazy needs building consensus. This is slow process particularly when coupled with a vocal free press and electronic media. The countery is transforming from an agricultural economy to a manufacturing and service economy. Manufacturing particularly Electronics has been stunted due to many reasons such as lack of investment and ararchaic labour laws. The software service industry requires less capital and is not encumbered by archaic labour laws. This probably one of the reasons for its rapid grouth. Since then many changes took place in the information Technology area and in the US the grouthbof mobile phones increased and a new system of Smart phones came into effect. This made it possible for every activities can be controlled with finger tips .As a result of this the websites of traditional computers were converted into apps on Smart phones. The lap tops ,The touch phones ,ipads, tablets all together made the it possible to dispense with the traditional computers with mouse. The rotating screens of the above devices were capable of doing any function easily and rapidly. In certain branches of computer the hard disc, mouse etc are being used still as the storage facilities for large quantities of data is more safe with traditional computers and Lap top. The digital development to this extent made it possible to carry out transactions in Banks easier by using Apps which are in fact the miniature forms of websites.Goverment and companies and individuals can make their own apps and control the system of communications, payment and transfer facilities in Banks and financial institutions by means of Apps. apps is nothing but applications. Now in India like all other developed Nations anything is possible by using apps. This has reduced difficulties and gains in terms of time and energy. The Apps has it's own drawbacks also .But careful and wise selection of apps can make everything easy and speedy now. His is an attempt to highlight the digital development from lay man's point of view. There had been a lot of discussions on the Universal connectivity and Net Net Neutrality for their coexistence . The Facebook chief was totally in favour of this and for reduction of charges for using internet facilities. TRAI and the Government made a big debate among people of India to implekent the free or reduced usage of Internet But the full implementingvf the benefits to Indian users is yet to be made uniform. India vs Newzealand series of 5 onedayers

The team for Newzealand tour for the 5 onedayers has been announced. As India had planned, the main motive behind playing onedayers against India is with a view to strengthening their team and their performance besides winning the series against India who are number two in the format as per ICC rankings.it is considered as a prestigeous issue for them to beat India before facing the world cup. The series starts on 23rd January 2019. 5 matches are in the series. They have announced their team also. There are 3 T20 internationals also to be played between 23rd of January to 10 th of February 2019 The matches are spread in Stadiums in different cities. The cities are 1)Napier,2)Hamilton,3)Wellington,4)Auckland &5)MountMaungaNui. Their team is very strong especially in playing one dayers. The 14 players announced are Kane Williamson(Capt),Trent Boult, Doug Bracewell,Rose Tailor,Colin Munro,Colin de Grandhomme,Martin Guptil,Lockie Ferguson,Matt Henry,Tom Latham,Henry Nicholls,Mitchell Santer,Tim Southee & Ish Sodhi. It may be seen that all their players are considerably experienced to cope up with any situations. Except for Brenden McCullum, who is planning retiremen from cricket, the team is strong which could pause stiff competition for India.Had McCullum also there it would have been virtually next to impossible to beat Newzealand and win series by India. But the present winning Test series and one day series against Australia has enhanced India's confidence manyfold.Besides ,willpower and willingness to win have improved a lot in regard to the Indian Team. The presence of M.S.Dhoni has produced the magic effect on the other team members members to strive better to win. SreedharanMundanat Mundanat

Decider ODI of series 18-19 in Melbourne Stadium

The third and final ODI of the series between India and Australia of 2018-19 is beginning on 18th of January 2019at the Melbourne Stadium. The first two were won respectively at Sydney and Adelaide by Australia and India respectively locking the series1-1 So this match assumes ultimate importance to decide the winner. As India earlier won the Test series 2-1,it is more or less a prestigious issue for Australia to win the ODI series while India needs yet another series win especially when the World Cup is fast approaching in England. Hence a thriller of gem of a match is in the offing. The second ODI began on time .India had won the toss. But elected to field .The reason for this was obvious. The rain was waiting for Indian BowlerBhuvaneswar to Bowl the first two balls of the first over to stike and promtly did it. Australia had one run from first ball faced by Carey. There had been a break for some time. The Australian open Tennis too was going on I which Roger Federer wastaking on Fritz.Federer had won the first set when I started viewing the match at 6-2. In the meantime the cricket resumed in Melbourne .In the 3rd over of the Australian innings Carey was caught brilliantly by Virat Kohli.n.Bhuvanrswar Kumar for indvidual score of5 runs ,the wicket falling at 8/1. UT.Kawaja joined the openerAaron Finch. Both together started building the score gradually. In the meantime in Australian Open Roger Federer completed the match by beating Fritz in 3 Straight sets of 6-2,7-5,&6-3. Coming back to Cricket ,Finch and Kawaja whileenhancing their score to respectability ,in the 9thover,Aaron Finch fell for a third time in a row to Bhuvanesh Kumar for a paltry 14 runs when an inswinger from Bhuvanesh Kumar trapped him in front of the wicet. The score card read 27/2.it was a big blow for the Australians. The match progressed without any damage systematically to a healthy 80/2 in the 20th over at a good run rate of 4 per over. In the 24th over, however, Shawn Marsh who had joined Khawaja was stumped by MSDhoniIn the very first over bowled by Chahal when he was on 39 runs. The wide ball bowled by Chahal would have become waste to add one run to their score .But since Marsh was ahead of crease the ball when removed the bails had the effect of a run out which usually called stumped. The unfortunate wicket took the score to 100/3.Adding more profound sorrow to the Australians ,in the same over,Chahal had UTKhawaja caught and bowled for 34 runs. The scorecard read a low score of 101/4 which was just over 4 runs per over. Soon after in the 30th over,Stoinis too fell for just 10 runs to his credit.123/5 stared at the Australians threateningly. Glen Maxwell was the next batsman to return to pavilion in the 35th over for individual score of 26 runs.161/6. Richardson and Handscomb we're in the process of building a respectful score for Australians thereafter.Handscomb was the only batsman who made a half century in the process. I He made 58 runs. In the meantime,Richardson also fell at 206/7 when his individual score was just16 runs. Thereafter what witnessed was a procession of falling wickets like a pack of cards. 8th,9th,and10th wicket fell in the form of Handscomb,Zampa&Stanlake for 58,8,&,0 respectively. The final score of Australia was not very competitive being just 230 runs fixing a Target of 231 for the Indians to make.Peter middle remained not out. The teams departed for a break before the Indians we're to come in for their innings. The Indian Innings began as usual.Notjimg of any specialiality.Rohi Sharma who is usually capable of building big scores by hitting sixes, has also a reputation of not playing well when absolutely necessary. Today also he sticker to his reputation & Returned to Pavilion without even seeing A double digits score being a mere 9 runs. This was a shock for the team where 3 new players have been included .One a debutant bowler cum bats man .Chahal a new face in this series though an experienced bowler showed his ability to bowl successfully by taking three important wickets of Australia thereby restricting them to 230. All factors are in favour of India although batting is uncertain at the moment with Rohit Sharma back in Pavilion.Shiksr Dhavan duringvthr tecent Pas in this series did not Excel Unlike when he plyed in India in this match, however,he looked as if he was going to score well but fell cheaply like Rohit Sharma by just adding 14 runs to the score of the former. On hids departure ,MSDhoni joined at the crease with Kohli. He had the biggest life he ever had in one day international when he gave an easy catch at the slip from the first ball he faced. But for the luck of his motherland,he might have joined the openers in the pavilion. He was eventually dropped by the Australian player.Once dropped early ,there is a a convention not proved beyond doubt that the dropped player last for longer! As though to prove the convention in the affirmative Dhoni and Kohli have taken the score to 104(not out) from 59when he was dropped. The partnership is looking good in the 30th over. Now India need 108 runs from 102 balls with 7 wickets remaining in the innings. Looks easy to get . But time alone can tell the result of the match. MSD&KedarJhadav together played systematically with a lot of understanding in reducing the required runs to make it overcome the number of balls available.During this process they kept the team and Spectators in the stadium and all over the world in suspense But both of them kept their cool in attacking the baks suitably. In the 42nd over a review appeal was made by Australian captain regarding a LBW decision.lt took more than 5 minutes to deny the appeal to decide in favour of India.Thatvwas in fact a blessing in disguise for Dhoni as he needed rest to reduce fatigue from running a lot to take the score to the target. Theresfter it was just plans executed fittingly in reducing runs to suit balls. In the final over 1 run was required from 4 balls. No mistake was made either by Dhoni or Jhadav in ensuring a tremendous victory at the famous Melbourne Stadium. Thus after a long time India win a series of onedayer in Melbourne. Man of the Match was unanimous decision in favour of Dhoni. He was the highest scorer of the match. In completing his task he had an element of luck too by way of dropping in the very first ball he played and later onvtowards the end. The beauty of the game today was ,hoeever, the number of singles acquired by both Dhobi and Jhadav. So finally it has been proved in Adelaide and Melbourne that MSD is undoubtedly the saviour of India under any circumstances. It was a very rare sight to view the Melbourne stadium withoutbleaving an inch of space to occupy. A real feastfir cricket lovers all over the world. It is not as easy as it looks to plan and execute a win in cricket. Cricket is a Glorious Game of Uncertainty!. Sreedharan Mundanat

Second ODI in the2018-19 series in Australia.

The first ODI India lost at Sydney by errors from the three top batsmen. It was also looked like extreme luck for Australia. After all Cricket sometimes needs luck also beyond talent.Thats how it is often called a GLORIOUS GAME OF UNCERTAINTY. The Second ODI began at 8-45 (IST) at Adelaide . Aaron Finch was lucky again to win the toss and select to bat.Finch and ATCarey began the innings of Australia Promptly when Carey started quick scoring taking the score to 20 when Skipper Aaron Finch fell to Bhubaneswar Kumar for 6 runs as a 101st victim of Kumar clean bowled. The 100th victim for BhubaneswarKumar was also Finch at Sydney when he dismissed him in the first ODI.The score card read 20/1. SE Marsh joined ATKhawaja in the middle. However ,just addition of 6 runs on the scorecard saw the exit of AT Carey at26/2 caught Dhawan.b.Shami. SE Marsh joined Khawaja to advance the score quickly. But inspite of Khawaja being one of the best top orders of Australia, did not last long as expected.Disaster spelt for Australia when the most vital batsman for Australia Khawaja found himself walking back to pavilion at 83/3 the individual score of Khawaja being just 21 runs.It was Jadeja who seems made it a habit to send crucial batsmen run out with his accurate throw. Wickets began falling in regular inter Val's when Handscomb the hero of Sydney, found himself the victim of expert stumping by none other than the best keeper of rrecent past Bowled by Jadeja. They also had made it their habit to dismiss batsmen in the sane pattern. The fourth wicket fell at a crucial stage of just 134 runs.In the 28th over the run rate prevailed was just under 5 runs per over. SEMarsh was, however, in good form to find his precious50+ very fast. He and the newlyjoinedBatsmanto give hm him company MPStoinis found the Rhythm of batting and added over50runs to the score card when Stoinis a highly promising batsman departed most unexpectedly at 189/5 caught behind by Dhoni .b.Shami for just 29 runs to his credit. That was the second time in e match when Dhoni helped to remove a batsman without any mistake by catching behind..189/5was the score at this stage Not a bad score at all. Soon Maxwell joined Marsh to take the score 200+.At the end of 42nd over Australia remained at a very healthy score of 218/5.Just ahead 5 runs per over.it looked a score of 270+was on the card at the end of 50 overs. 16 runs scored in the next over threatening & Staring meanacingly at the Indians.300+ seems a possibility now for India to take as a Target.A review at this stage was successful for Australia denying wicket for India.Umpire originally had raised his finger up for out. Part of the game.Third umpire knows better who watches on TV set. Full toss balls were suitably punished by Marsh without any element of Mercy. It was not a stage to give him full toss . In 45 overs it was 262/5.Run rate of 5.2+ was likely to exceed 6 by end of the match. Marsh really enjoyed his century of 121+(no) from 117 balls which marked his top score in Australia. His score card at this stage contained 3 Sixes and 11 fours. A great one hand catch dropped by Rohit Sharma added to the agony of India in the 47th over. But it was a very difficult catch .He tried his level best to hold on to it.But invain. As a consolation Glen Maxwell was dismissed caught Karthik .b.BKumar for 48 just 2 short of a hard earned half century. Part of the game again. In the same over Mash was also dismissed by B.Kumar caught Jadeja for a fine 131 runs. The match progressed with more and more thrils.Shami removed Richardson for 2 runs Peter middle also removed by a running catch by Kohli b.Kumar.Kumar had 4vwickets in his bag. Fall of wicket of 9/286. The 10th wicket partnership between Lyon and Behrendorff remained not out in the innings. It was indeed a matter of credit for Indian Bowlers and Kohli who took an impossible Running Catch did not allow the Australians to reach the Psychological total of 300+ Let us welcome the innings of Indians after a gap of 40 minutes approximately. The target for them is a challenging 299. India began their innings with determination to win at the same time keeping their wicket in tact . Shikar Dhavan's intention was very clear. He wanted to score rapidly to give a good start. He began right with the bat.He is the best Left Hander we have in Indian team after Yuvaraj Singh.Dhavan made quick 32 runs from 28 balls with the help of 5fours . The first wicket India lost in the form of Dhavan's when in the 8 thOver he wanted to play a ball over the midwicket but slightly delayed the shot which slrose up and was enough for Khawaja to make backward run to cool collect the ball. The bowler was Behrendorff.Wicket fell at 47/1. Then Virat Kohli joined Rohit Sharma The captain and vice captain took the score past 100. RohitvSharma was playing a bold game by trying to hit sixes. In total, however,he made 2 sixes and 2 fours.Eventually fell when his individual score was 43.But he gave solid company for Kohli and together took the score to 101/1. Annatto Raydu joined Virat Kohli and took the score to a safe160 runs. Both together took score to 160/3. It was reasonably good score at that stage.Raudu's contribution was 24 runs. The wicket was given to Stoinis for a safe catch bowled by Glen Maxwell. 160/3 was in the 31st over. Then MS.Dhoni joined Kohli . Together they played a safe game taking score past 200. in c37th over the score card read 203/3. Now the situation is India needs yet another96 runs from 0vers remaining. Kohli is 87 and Dhoni9. Still need 90 runs from 12vovers. 72 balls to play from which 90 required to win. Virat Kohli was the fourth man to return to the pavilion after scoring a comfortable 104 runs caught by Maxwell bowled Richardson. India still needed a massive 57 run from 38 balls. Dinesh Karthik and MS.Dhoni, 2cwicketkeepers together was to find India home. There was no sign of any anxiety from the body language of the two great batsmen cum wicket keepers. In fact, it is a speciality that in most of the cricket playing Nations ,their wicket keepers used to be very handy with their bats. Dhoni& DineshKarthik were not exceptions. When the will power together with willingness to win joined hand in hand a victory was not a matter of suspense. Finally they won the second ODI at Adelaide with four balls to spare. MSDhoni's 55 from 54 balls contained 2 sixes in it one was in the last over. Dinesh Karthik contributed 25 runs towards the total of 299 to win. Hip!Hip! Hurray for Team India. SreedharanMundanat

In continuation of "Blog App and Trap" dt10th January 2019

Frequently it is being reported in news papers in India about instances of money drained from Bank account of people who use Apps. A typical example is recent reported in one of the leading newspaper of Kerala by name " Deshabhimani"
The above news item explains how money from the accounts of general public was drained by false apps used by the producers of such apps. All over India these kind of mal practises is stated to have happened and is under investigation by authorities. In my original blog at 10th of January 2019,the possibility of false apps and the need for taking total caution and protection of selecting right app for right use was discussed. In view of what is mentioned in the news item above, further protection to select the right app for right purpose is emphasised. In India to day everyone is at liberty to organize apps of their choice to promote business. Although Government is very keen to solve cases by timely investigation,it may be mentioned that prevention is better than cure. By precaution ,the agony of loss of money unexpectedly could prevent shock to the account holder. SreedharanMundanat

First one day international Australia- -Tit for tat from Australia

An equal match in nature with the India vs UAE in yesterday’s AFC Asian cup in UAE! What I mean is a match India should have won but lost. Here the circumstances were different but the result similar. The first match of the three match series began in Sydney Cricket ground. This morning play began disastrously for Australia with early fall of CaptAaron's first wicket b.B.Kumar for 6 runs. Soon after after playing for a Short while in the company of opener ATKhawaja Carey also returned to pavilion .c.Sharma.b.Kuldeep yadav for just 24 runs. The scorecard read 41/2 . SE Marsh joined Khawaja in the middle. Khawaja &sE Marsh together made a big recovery taking the score to 133 when Khawaja was bowled by Jadeja 54 runs. It was a precious contribution .Score 133/3. Then the batsman of the day PSPHandscomb joined Marsh. They together took the score to 186c4{when Marsh also returned to pavilion c Mohemed Shame.b.Kuldeep Yadav. MP Stoinis joined Handscomb .Together they reached a reasonable score of 254/5.Handscomb the leading batsman of the day was the specialist batsman to get out after scoring gem of a personal score of the match73. Then the pair of Glen Maxwell and Stoinis together saw to the end of 50 overs with a challenging target of 289. The individual score of Stoinis and Glen Maxwell remained 47 &11(not out) After the break Indian openers arrived at the Sydney Ground with a terrible job of scoring 289 from 50 0vers.For a team of India'scalibre relating to batting it was challenging but was not an impossible task. But Alas?!The opener Shikar Dhavan, on whom Iia who were was banking up on for buidldding a big score had a big shock. Dhavan sadly walked back to the Pavilion trapped in front with the very first ball bowled by Behrrndorff the debutant bowler of Australia.A terrific day for him to celebrate his entry into one day cricket. The agony of India did not stop there. Captain Virat Kohli and Ambatti Rayudu joined Shawna back in the pavilion making Indian score 3/4 staring at them threateningly. This is how cricket proved itself a glorious game of uncertainty!Former most successful captain of India MS Dhoni joined RohitSharma in the innings as a formality. But no .It was different Thereafter what the spectators at the Sydney ground and in front of Television sets all over the world watched something unbelievable and, perhaps, never seen before in the near past. They together built a partnership of 137 runs when Dhoni, brought back his old habit of playing cricket in similar crucial situations. The individual score of Dhoni was a hard earned 51 runs which contained a six & 3 fours. At that juncture India had just 17.4 overs left to play for the day.Although there was slight ray of hope to win ,it was just a hope come up at a very late stageto to turn it into a reality.! Dinesh Karthik and Bhubaneswar Kumar gave support to the tired hero RGSharma who made 133Glorious runs with 6 sixes and 10fours.That too from just 129 balls bowled to him.Along with his getting out at 133 runs the hopes of India faded away. The final score of 254/9 still remained as a reminder for India that if they tried hard any total in front of them was achievable. A true and useful reminder for them to keep in mind for the forthcoming word cup at England. MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma deserved every praise for their courageous attempt to win.Perhaps, both of them have confirmed their presence in the team for World cup. Australia needs heartiest congratulations for their performance after an unbearable loss in Test cricket to India.Their debutant bowler Behrendorff deserves congratulations for two precious Indian wickets. There are 2 more matches in the series of 3 matches to be played at Adelaide at 8-50IST on 15th Janury and Melbourne 18th at 7-50(IST) If played cautiously and with total dedication & willingness to win nothing is impossible with the present calibre of Indian Team. The AFC Asian Cup2019 (a mini wordcup of Asian countries) began in USE and would continue until 1st of February 2019. This tournament is being conducted by forming 6 groups A,B,C,D,E,F. THE TEAMS in each group is as under: A -UAE,Bahrain&India. B-Australia,Syria& Jordan andPalastien C-S.Korea,China,Kyrgyzstan,&Philippines D-Iran,Iraq,Vietnam& Yemen. E-SoudiArabia,Qatar,&Labanon& North Korea. F-Japan,Uzbekistan,Oman&Turkmenistab India is in a tuff group with UAE &Bahrain. The first match in this group was won by India against Thailand on 6th of January 2019. The second match scheduled on 10th January night(IST9-30pm) began solidly by India.Chhettri and company made many bold attempts by organizing excellent understanding between players.Three were many good short passes .The control of the first half was with Imdians. In the 23rd miute a very nice header to the net went straight to the goalkeeper and thereby missed a goal. Again 44 the minute a slow but nice shot went outside the net touching the distant goalpost.this was also an opportunity lost due to bad luck.. However towards the end of First half USE was lucky to shake net of India. UAE1-india0 After half time both teams played withot much of a success. Towards the87th minute when india Very badly need an equalizer,a severe blow struck from the boot of the Soudi forward which was an easy goal due to a silly lapse from the defender.2-0. That one minute was badly dealt with eclipsing the good play until then. Soon after a very good attempt in the 92nd minute of injury time a sure goal was deviated itseof rather than any defender which spelt loss for India 2-0 Next match for India is on the14th of January 2019 at 9-30 PM in Sharjah. If India can win the next match, the chances of keeping their hopes alive to enhance their entry to next round can not be totally ruled out. But all the permutations and combinations would affect this because India has won the first match and Bahrain lost to Thailand today. Let us hope for a better day on the auspecoous day of January 14th. Anyways,India has not losteverything in this Asia cup SreedharanMundanat
